Cash on delivery, as a company payment term

For a branch that pays on delivery, the order is placed unpaid and the balance becomes due when the order is fully delivered. It counts against the location's credit limit while it is open, and you record collection against the invoice. The retail COD rules and fees stay separate; you arm company COD deliberately for each location.

Bring a customer's history with them

When a long-standing customer becomes a company buyer, you can associate their existing order history with their company location — nothing about the original orders changes, but the relationship is finally in one place. Preview the eligible history first, then link it at a fixed cutoff without changing the original prices, tax, payments or refunds.
