Pricing questions
- Why is every feature on every plan?
- Because the "app tax" is the problem we exist to fix. On other platforms, loyalty, reviews, email, bundles and COD protection are separate paid apps that add ₹5,000–20,000 a month. On Sellerlane they are built in on every plan — plans differ only in capacity (staff accounts, locations, orders, email volume), never in features.
- Are there really no transaction fees?
- Really. 0%, on every plan, in your contract — forever. You connect your own Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree account, your money settles directly to you, and you pay only your gateway’s standard rates. For comparison: Shopify in India adds a 2% fee per order on Basic on top of gateway charges, and Dukaan charges up to 4.99% per order.
- Is there a free trial or free plan?
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required — and building your store is free for as long as you like. Your subscription starts when you’re ready to open checkout to real customers. We don’t offer a permanent free plan: we’d rather every live store get real support than subsidise inactive ones.
- What happens if I go over my plan’s order limit?
- Nothing bad — your checkout is never blocked and no per-order fee ever kicks in. If you consistently exceed your plan’s included orders, we’ll ask you to move up a tier from your next billing cycle. Selling more should never feel like a penalty.
- How does the free Shopify migration work?
- On any annual plan, we migrate your store for you — products, customers, orders, reviews and discounts — rebuild your theme, and generate 301 redirects for every URL so your Google rankings carry over. Your current store stays live until you approve the switch.
- How do WhatsApp messages work?
- You connect your own WhatsApp Business account and pay Meta directly at Meta’s per-message rates (utility messages like order updates and COD OTPs cost about ₹0.12). Sellerlane’s WhatsApp tools — automations, templates, campaigns — are included in your plan with no markup on messages.
- How does yearly billing work?
- The headline prices are the effective monthly rate when billed annually (about 21% less than month-to-month). Pay by UPI, card or netbanking with a GST-compliant invoice. You can switch between monthly and yearly any time; changes apply from your next billing cycle.
- What if I want to leave?
- Plans are cancel-anytime, and your data is yours: export products, customers, orders and reviews in full, plus your redirect map, whenever you want. Since payments run on your own gateway account, nothing about your money ever depends on us.
- Is GST invoicing supported?
- Yes. All prices are exclusive of 18% GST, and every subscription is billed with a GST-compliant invoice. Your store itself also gets Sellerlane’s built-in GST engine — tax rates, HSN codes and GST-compliant order invoices.
