Privacy policy

Who we are
Sellerlane ("we", "us") operates the commerce platform at https://sellerlane.io. This policy covers personal data we process for merchants (our customers) and for buyers who shop on merchant storefronts hosted by Sellerlane.
Data we collect
For merchants: account details (name, email, phone), store configuration, and billing information. For buyers on merchant stores: order details, contact information provided at checkout, and — where consent is given — analytics events such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP (city level), and device type. IP addresses used for analytics are stored hashed; postal codes derived from IP are stored only as hashes.
How we use data
To operate stores and process orders; to send transactional email such as order confirmations and delivery updates; to provide merchants with analytics about their own stores; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Payments
Card and UPI payments are processed by the merchant's payment gateway (Razorpay or PayU). Sellerlane does not store card numbers or UPI PINs. Gateway credentials supplied by merchants are stored encrypted.
Consent and buyer choices
Merchant storefronts include consent controls for analytics and marketing tracking. Buyers can decline non-essential tracking; essential cookies required for carts and checkout remain. Marketing emails include unsubscribe controls, and suppression requests are honored automatically.
Retention and security
Data is hosted in Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) data centers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Raw IP addresses used for analytics expire on a schedule and are scrubbed; order records are retained as required by tax law.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by writing to [email protected]. Buyers should contact the merchant they purchased from first; we assist merchants in fulfilling these requests.
Changes
We will post updates to this policy on this page and update the date above.
