When you book an event or appointment, this page explains how your ticket and any meeting link reach you, and how changes work.

Your ticket

Your “ticket” is your order page plus a calendar file you can add to your own calendar. Each booking carries a short reference code, shown on the page and in reminder emails. There’s no QR check-in yet.

Some events ask for attendee details — a name (and optionally an email) for each ticket — if the organizer has turned that on. Otherwise the booking is just under your name.

Online meeting links

For events held on Zoom or Google Meet, the meeting is set up automatically once your booking is paid — not the moment you place it. So an unpaid cash-on-delivery or deposit booking for an online event isn’t accepted at checkout unless the event itself is covered by the paid-now part; an event should never reach its start time with no meeting set up.

Note

The join link is your credential — treat it like a ticket. It’s shown to you at the store’s chosen time across your order page, calendar file, and reminder emails. The organizer’s staff member is the host; you’re never added as a guest on their personal calendar, which keeps your contact details private and the reveal timing intact.

For example

You book a 1-on-1 consultation paid by card. The moment your payment clears, a meeting link is created behind the scenes. It appears on your order page and in your reminder email at the time the store has set — say, an hour before the session.

Rescheduling and cancelling

1. Each event has a cutoff — by default 24 hours before it starts.
2. Outside the cutoff, a reschedule is instant by default. Cancellation needs approval by default, but the store can configure either action.
3. Inside the cutoff, the action is forced to the store owner’s approval queue even if its normal rule is instant.

The number of times you can reschedule a booking is capped by the store’s policy.

Note

When a store owner changes your meeting — reschedules it, cancels it, reassigns the host, or updates the link — you’re notified by default. If a booking is canceled, its online meeting room is torn down automatically, so a cancelled booking never leaves a live room or a falsely blocked calendar behind. When a meeting is regenerated, the working room stays available until its replacement is durably created; only then is the old room removed and the update notification sent.

Capacity

An event’s remaining seats are always worked out from live bookings, never from a separate counter that could drift. A seat counts as taken while it’s held during checkout or booked and not cancelled. If you refund a quantity on an event, exactly that many seats go back up for sale.

Behind the scenes

Setting up meeting rooms happens after your payment goes through, never during the payment itself, so a provider hiccup can’t hold up your checkout. If setting up a room keeps failing, the store keeps retrying for a while and, if it still can’t, the store owner is emailed to add a link by hand — so your booking is always covered.

By default online meetings keep a waiting room on and don’t let guests join before the host.
